This is my first Throwback Thursday Challenge from Emma's My Creative Time Blog. I knew I had to do this challenge when she said to use "Doodlecharms". This is an oldie, but a goodie! I love the border features, especially before I had the Design Studio and Gypsy. Also, it was to be a scrapbook layout and as you can tell I really need to do some catching up since I am 2 years behind!! All the images are from the Doodlecharms cartridge except for the phrase Fun in the sun, where I welded that together with the All Mixed Up cartridge. I added some stickles for some sparkle and added in Karli's pictures! You can click on the picture for a better view.
I made my mom the cutest birthday card and forgot to bring it to her when we celebrated her birthday. :( Her favorite color is blue so I did as much blue as possible. I wanted to use Robyn's (aka My Pink Stamper) Punnylicious Stamps so I chose to cut out an owl for the card. After putting it all together I remembered that she hates birds! It was too cute though, so I gave it to her a couple days after her birthday. She loved it!
My friend, Robyn, is doing a Father's Day challenge over at mypinkstamper.com. The winner of the random drawing will get a Cricut Expression! Although I have an Expression already, I would love to have an extra so I can keep it at school. So, I created a card that used the word DAD welded together, embossed the green background with my Cuttlebug (Marcus loves this little machine) and added a stickled motorcycle! The inside reads - Ur Cool! I think he will love it!
I would describe myself as a pretty animated 37 year old. I have been married to my husband, Marcus for 14 years and have a 3 year old daughter, Karli. I have been teaching 4th grade students for 12 years in my home town, Moore, Oklahoma. I currently live in Choctaw and spend a lot of my summer days at my lake house at Lake Eufaula. I enjoy scrapbooking and recently following a few blogs that has sparked my interest in card making.
